While the city of Portland may only get glimpses of snow during the winter months, it’s only a short drive up into Mt Hood National Forest to be surrounded by winter wonderland. Laura and Risa caught the essence of this little bit of snowy magic towards the end of February with their elopement at Trillium Lake!
Eloping in the winter may sound like a crazy idea, but isn’t the whole idea of adventure elopements throwing tradition out the window? I had so much fun adventuring through the snow with Laura and Risa! My favorite part of elopements are that they’re a bit like a choose-your-own-adventure, and to adventure in the snow makes your day that much more special!
One of my favorite things about photographing Laura and Risa was the genuine connection between them. We started off by taking solo bridal portraits of each of them, but the second they stood next to each other their faces went from happy to glowing and you could feel in the air how much they love each other.
So many incredible vendors contributed to this shoot. Go check them out as well!
