PORTLAND WEDDING & ELOPEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER

This is your forever.

Your wedding photos are important

…but for me, it’s about so much more.

It’s about the fleeting moments. The little things that go overlooked. The subtle looks of love that flash across your loved one’s faces. The feeling you’ll get in 50 years when you look through your wedding photos and transport yourselves back to that moment.

For me, the best photography is packed with emotion, and it’s slow. It’s holding every photo in your hands and noticing new things each time.

Most importantly, it breaks away from a cookie-cutter mould of what your love story “should” look like. It’s raw, unique, comfortable, and genuine.

What does Together Theory mean?

6 years ago when I first began photographing weddings, there was one thing I noticed each time.

Each couple I photographed had planned their dream wedding days, but behind the scenes the were stressed, rushing around, and being ushered through a to-do list of moments that “should” be happening.

At the end of the day, they had barely spent time being present together— the thing the day was celebrating in the first place.

“Together Theory” was born in the sentiment that the single most important thing on your wedding day is spending time wholly present with your partner and with the ones you love most.

On my end, this looks like a few things: advocating for a wedding day timeline that has buffer room for you and your partner to just enjoy the day. Taking a documentary approach with tons of candid photographs. Encouraging the two of you to truly let loose and enjoy your couple’s portraits— instead of it feeling like a stiff photoshoot.

More than anything, what matters the absolute most to me is that your wedding experience is just as incredible as the art we create.

  • On your wedding day, I’ll aim to find a seemless balance between fitting right in and being a fly on the wall. I take an unobtrusive documentary approach for most of the day, and add a bit of more hands on posing when it’s necessary!

  • After your wedding, you’ll receive a small gallery of sneak peek photos within 72 hours. After that, I’ll begin working on your full edited gallery, which will be ready in approximately 1-2 months.
